True to size! They are great for keeping my toes from being smashed! Good quality! Glad I pulled the trigger on them!

On the advice of my bike fitter

I had done a virtual Ike fitting for my Peloton and my fitter Tim suggested this specific shoe due to the shape of my foot, and my want for a crazy breathable shoe. I was at first hesitant due to the price. It it has been a real game changer. Regardless if you ride indoors or not let me tell you get a shoe that fits my foot is narrow at the heel but has a wide forefoot this shoe ticks all the marks. I was able to pick them up at a local shop in NY.

Comfort and Power

These are great cycling shoes insomuch as they could not possibly be more comfortable.

The Altras of the cycling shoe world.

I have feet that make bootfitters run in terror. Narrow heel, LOW instep, normal/wide forefoot and long squared-off toes (the first 4 toes are all the same length) that splay as wide as my forefoot. Bursitis and a neuroma on my right foot from repeatedly jamming my 4th toe into toe rands make them very sensitive to toe boxes. I need space so that toe doesn’t get jammed, or numbness and excruciating pain will result. I’ve previously worn shoes 1.5-2 sizes too big to fit my toes, but always had issues getting the shoe tight enough, and not being able to position the clear far enough back. The CX 201s are the first shoe I’ve found that works right out of the box. The single Boa does take a while to wind all the slack out of and the heel is a bit wider than would be my ideal, but they work. I have my concerns about how the mesh will hold up over time based on other similar designs, but it’s working great so far. Though the sole isn’t the stiffest sole out there, it’s still really stiff. My only wishes are that the sole had a bit more toe pitch, and the heel had a deeper heel cup (a moldable heel would be pretty awesome).
