Excellent shoes

Possibly one of the best fitting shoes I've worn! I'm a bike fitter and I've tried pretty much every brand available including CX 218 X but when I got the extra wide CX 301, it just felt like it was meant to be!! The power transfer is excellent and there is absolutely no pain or discomfort while riding hard! Super lightweight aswell which makes high cadence a blissful experience!

Best cycling shoes I've had

Ordered "Extra Wide" option of these shoes:
+ Best cycling shoes I've had
+ Good quality
+ Looks good
- Not WIDE enough !!!
- Only one Boa
- Toebox tapers too soon
- Heel area is too big

Bottom line: even extra wide NOT WIDE ENOUGH !!!

Hello, Teemu.

We are sorry to hear the CX301 was not wide enough. The Extra wide race last models are still slightly narrower than our competition last models ( CX219, CX238, CX241)
Our sizing guide is a useful tool to help identify the width of each shoe so you can match your foot width with the correct model.

Best regards,

The Lake Team

Pretty on the outside, flawed footbed

For over $300 I would expect better quality control and/or craftsmanship. Areas of epoxy completely missing - super obvious if anyone had cared during manufacture. The positive: FINALLY!!! Shoes (extra wide) that fit my strange feet (extremely high arches) - I spent an additional $60 on X-high arch supports from REI and now I have the best-fitting cycling shoes I’ve owned in 50 years of serious cycling! Luckily I work with epoxies in my work, so I will finish the shoes where the Chinese folks who built them left off. Lake: up your game on QC!!

Good afternoon, John.

Sorry to hear the shoes have disappointed you.
Would you be so kind as to share a photo of the issues. We take our QC very seriously.
Feel free to reach out to me directly chris@lakecycling.com.

Thank you.
Chris
