With only 100 miles on the shoes, this is a first impression review. I like the fit and comfort. The two BOA’s are easy to adjust and the shoes seem to conform well to my feet while being quite comfortable. This is my third pair of Lake cycling shoes, including the second pair of gravel/MTB shoes. As a 70 year-old cyclist, I need comfort, especially in the toe box. My first pair of Lake MTB/gravel shoes performed vey well for over 4 years and 12,000+ miles. Prior to the Lakes I was having issues with “hot foot”. My triathlete chiropractor told me that I needed shoes with leather uppers that would conform better to my feet. The Lakes did the trick and my new pair of Lakes seem to be just as good if not better.
I have EEEE feet and always have trouble finding cycling shoes that will fit. These are wide enough for me to use comfortably and get more comfortable with every use. I do use thin socks, which allow more space. If you have wide feet these are a good choice.
Best fit of any MTN bike shoe I’ve owned
