Based on the size chart, I ordered 44.5 even though I usually wear 45. I’ve remeasured and with adding 5mm chart says 44.5. Seemed fine trying them on, but after 45 minutes riding the left shoe is uncomfortable and after 90 minutes it’s almost unbearable. Right fits fine, so I wonder if the left is mismanufactured, it almost feels like the sole isn’t lined up properly with the upper. Soles are labeled 44, not 44.5 or 44W, but maybe that is normal for 44.5W. The cutouts in the soles are finished well and the stock insoles are so cheap and thin I can feel the cut out under the ball of my foot. The shoelaces are also very cheap. I bought these after having MX168 because I wanted a lace up shoe, but I regret they seemed ok until riding in them and not being able to return.
This shoe work's really well. It's plenty stiff while still walkable and the Wide version fit's my feet very well. Plus it doesn't look like the typical cycling shoe wich makes it a great choice for commuting or casual rides. In combination with commuting pants you could walk into a restaurant without feeling completely out of space. So why just 4 stars? Well, in my book the 241 and 332 are even better when it comes to performance and comfort.
