MX Competition Last – Featuring a larger toe box & tighter heel than the Comfort last and with slightly more overall volume than the Sport last. Exceptionally secure for hard riding/racing with enough room in the toe box to prevent binding when running up inclines or negotiating a hike-a-bike section. Designed for performance riding & racing.

Not quite an MX238 with laces, but close enough. Watch the sizing as the width is the same as other lakes with the same last, but the overall volume is a bit tighter. If you've got a high/wide foot, consider going up half a size from your regular lake size. The MX1's don't have room for toe warmers if you use them for winter riding, while my MX238's have plenty. Really sexy looking shoe, however
This shoe work's really well. It's plenty stiff while still walkable and the Wide version fit's my feet very well. Plus it doesn't look like the typical cycling shoe wich makes it a great choice for commuting or casual rides. In combination with commuting pants you could walk into a restaurant without feeling completely out of space. So why just 4 stars? Well, in my book the 241 and 332 are even better when it comes to performance and comfort.
